Please note: these assemblies can also be used on earlier Stern machines but the mounting holes for the older base plates do not exactly match up to the new ones that will be required for this assembly.
A different flipper bat & shaft will also be required if this assembly is installed in an older Stern machine due to the fact that the flipper base on this assembly pulls the entire mechanism further away from the underside of the playfield. This extra distance requires the flipper bat to have a longer shaft. Please note that this longer Stern flipper bat shaft has a slightly different shaped plastic bat when compared to the later model Stern machines that use this flipper mechanism. The bat that is compatible with this flipper mechanism is part #PBL_U379.
